Pinpoint 5 Factors that are Blocking Your Intuition!
What is intuition and why is it so important in our lives? Well, I’m glad you asked! Intuition serves as a beacon of guidance; it’s an information-filled highway that leads us to the easiest path on this journey we call life.
According to Webster, intuition is defined as quick and ready insight and/or the power or faculty of attaining to direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought and inference. How fantastic is that! We have an inner guidance system that provides us with valuable insights that we can easily access just by getting out of our own way. Unfortunately, many people feel stuck and don’t know how to unlock their inner knowings. If you are struggling with feeling stuck you’re in luck! I’ve come up with an easy to follow list that will help you clear away blocks and help you ride that magical wave all the way back to intuitive knowingness.
#1 CONNECT WITH YOUR FEELINGS
You know that old saying, "Think less feel more"? Well that’s what I want you to focus on here. In order to really open the gateway to connect with the Spirit World and your inner guidance system you need to be available from a feelings center. You can achieve this blissful state by doing things that make you feel good. Some great examples are to paint, be in nature, exercise, laugh, or cook. It doesn’t matter what it is, the only criteria is that it resonates with your soul and brings you joy. From this space you will be able to reconnect with your feelings in a healthy clear way, rather than a blocked or possibly emotionally disturbed space.
#2 FOCUS ON FOOD... I MEAN FUEL
Let me fill you in on a little secret; I have firsthand experience with this monster. I’ve had a sweet tooth for as long as I can remember but when I started getting more serious about nurturing my body and feeding it what it really wanted I had to ditch the sugar. When I finally let it go my intuition flourished. Now it’s not to say I don’t crave the sweets here or there, but it’s nothing like it used to be. I’ve also given up dairy which was giving me issues. Every body is different so listen to yours and see what needs to be tweaked or eliminated in order to feel your best.
#3 RECHARGING THE BODY WITH SLEEP
I've noticed that this is a trouble area for those of you that are night owls (like myself). Oftentimes I feel most inspired in the late night hours, which is probably because while everyone is asleep my to-do list is most quiet in my mind and I feel insanely inspired. But when I push the limits and stay up a little too late I often feel exhausted the next day, too lazy to hit the gym, don't eat right, I'm mentally foggy, and not in the best emotional space. In order to curb this I ensure I get at least 7 hours of sleep so I am my best self for the following day. When I get a good sleep I feel energized, mentally clear, and excited for what's ahead.
4# SELF DOUBT
If you struggle with this topic I would highly encourage you do to some inner reflecting to find out why you don’t believe in yourself. Here’s the thing (and I’m sure you have heard this in your life a million times) but you only have one shot at this life. Why waste your time sitting around believing self doubt when you have all the time in the world to find your potential, chase that potential, and then see it flourish right in front of you. Life is a gift so unwrap it and enjoy!
#5 BE MINDFUL OF YOUR THOUGHTS
Being aware of One’s thoughts is key. Although this may be a new concept to many this will really help you uncover your intuitive gifts. Are you someone whose mind races from one thought to another? How about when one thing is finally complete then something else arises? To help curb this thinking all you need to do is pay attention. Pay attention to what your inner voice sounds like. Does your mind like to argue with you? Does it like to give you a huge/never ending to-do list? Does your mind feel as though there is never enough time, or does it remind you at how unsatisfied you are about life? If you can relate to these thoughts then you are not alone. My best advice is to pay attention to what you are thinking about. Yep, that’s it. Try to not judge yourself, be the observer behind the thinking. Once you have mastered this then I promise you will be more aware of who you are on a soul level and the spirit guidance that is being being offered to you.
